As both a journalist and mother of two young boys, Leonie Barlow understands The Australian Women’s Weekly reader’s enthusiasm for a great story and the treat it can be to have the spare time to enjoy it. Australian born Leonie started her career in newspapers before moving into weekly women’s magazines more than 12 years ago. Prior to joining The Australian Women’s Weekly team Leonie edited New Zealand’s leading fashion title, Fashion Quarterly.

Now in her role as editor of The Australian Women’s Weekly, Leonie aims to deliver readers all the features and stories she herself loves including exclusive international celebrity profiles, mouthwatering food and inspirational fashion, home and health features.

“The Australian Women’s Weekly has been a staple in our house since I was a young girl. It has always been a part of my life and it’s a huge privilege to now be editing such a well-loved and enormously respected magazine. I look forward to continuing this tradition each and every month,” she says.
